About the Role:
As a Staff Data Engineer with our client, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and scale data pipelines crucial for powering our product offerings. This role delves into the intricate realm of marketing attribution for the direct-to-consumer (DTC) space, involving the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of complex transformation networks across various ad platforms and order management systems.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership to develop products addressing high-value customer needs.Enhance the functionality of large-scale data processing systems underpinning marketing attribution algorithms by integrating diverse data sources.Devise innovative solutions for handling diverse data types from multiple sources in a sustainable manner.Design, implement, and scale customer-facing APIs to facilitate faster data onboarding.Develop and maintain data models and transformations to accelerate product development.Establish best practices, frameworks, and processes for measuring system impact.Mentor junior engineers, fostering organizational growth while upholding high standards of excellence. Requirements: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Linux/UNIX environments.Six to eight years of experience, ideally in a startup environment.Solid grasp of database engines, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools.Experience with building batch data processing pipelines for large-scale analytics.Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in marketing, e-commerce, ad-tech, or enterprise SaaS.Familiarity with real-time data processing pipelines.Experience with external APIs and relevant technologies such as BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, and Apache Beam.
