The Dual Enrollment Advisor provides academic advising and success coaching for assigned new and continuing Dual Enrollment students throughout their participation in the Dual Enrollment program. Additionally, the Dual Enrollment Advisor serves as a liaison between the student and the University with regard to University policies and procedures. This is a full time (2080 annual hours), exempt position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Represents Cedarville University with excellence, professionalism, and discretion in stewarding internal and external relationships that include CU faculty and staff as well as Dual Enrollment students, parents, and high school administrators and guidance counselors.
Advises approximately 300-400 students in the traditional (online) dual enrollment program.
Advises and enrolls Christian School Partnership (CSP) students in online and on-campus courses.
Utilizes Colleague to register CSP students for their sections on the CSP campus.
Advises students participating in the state of Ohio's College Credit Plus (CCP) program with strict adherence to Ohio law.
Maintains meticulous advising records in accordance with FERPA policies.
Maintains a thorough and ongoing knowledge of Cedarville's general education core and its implementation in various degree programs.
Works with registrar's office to complete Dual Enrollment registrations.
Implements retention strategies that result in Dual Enrollment students matriculating to degree-seeking status.
Monitors and communicates with at-risk students to ensure successful completion of courses or dropping of courses to maximize GPA.
Represents Dual Enrollment at CU Friday events as needed as well as other Dual Enrollment promotional activities.
Assists with CCP Meeting nights at local high schools.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Dual Enrollment Advising.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent customer service/business experience

Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills
Previous advising, student service, higher education, customer service, or similar experiences required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs, as well as an adeptness in developing competence in browser-based applications
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable in working with pressures created by deadlines
