Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities – such as EV platforms,
batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling – to create ground-up, breakthrough electric
vehicles. By joining the best software, engineering, design and UX talent, you will be a part of creating
new technologies and concepts that can be applied across the Ford enterprise. Being on the Ford Model
E team means building the future as Ford's center of innovation and growth through electric and
connected vehicles and services.
The Advanced EV Development Global Supply Chain Manager will craft our world class powertrain
supply chain efforts. This GSM will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing
strategies for critical powertrain area spend, development of world class costing tools, lead negotiation
and supply chain strategy creation for the entire end to end supply chain . Additionally, you'll be
building in supply chain risk reduction actions and designing the supply chain to ensure compliance to
global trade and tariff requirements.
What you'll be able to do:
• Develop first principles should cost tools together with other engineering colleagues to provide
grounds up physics based minimum system or part cost
• Enable enterprise level optimization by providing the powertrain optimization teams the above
code based should cost tools to be integrated into the optimization plan
• Develop unique prototype solutions that ensure sourcing leverage supports design lock and
production program timing
• Drive internal make vs buys studies with internal advanced manufacturing groups to ensure
optimum outcomes
• Work with ADVEV GSM partners to redefine the purchasing software and tools that are used to
manage suppliers, part revisions, requirements, documentation, agreements, etc.
• Identify and develop key commercial partnerships throughout all necessary levels of the supply
chain. The partnerships should allow Ford to enjoy cost leadership, supply in times of raw
material scarcity, geopolitical events risk mitigation , etc.
• Foster a collaborative costing culture both internally with Engineering and externally with
supplier partners. All stake holders should be supportive of the process and co-own delivery of
cost outcomes.
• Act as a liaison with engineering in releasing new products, collaborate in design reviews,
change control meeting, and other technical discussions to assess equipment needs and to
determine system requirements.
• Enable optimization across the enterprise by working with the engineering teams to
collaboratively drive strategic engineering choices that are informed by the current market
trends, material sourcing options and total vehicle system trade-offs.• Manage and resolve any supply disruptions into early protoype builds and ongoing vehicle production

strategy.
• Experience bringing creative negotiation skills and out of the box strategy.
• Knowledge of high-volume motor manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chains.
• Identify technically relevant supply chain funnels to support engineering deliverables.
• Strong relationship management skills with suppliers which include scorecards, issue resolution
and reviews.
Preferred Requirements:
• Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience building and launching highly effective supply chain methodology.
• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high
performing team.
• A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for
exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.
