The Registered Nurse (RN) prepares equipment andassists physician during examinations and treatments. The Registered Nurse(RN) administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs. The Registered Nurse (RN) observes and maintainsrecords on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.The Registered Nurse (RN) participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, ateam member or team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.The Registered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safe aseptictechnique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offers leadership anddirection to all support staff within department.The medical-surgical unit at Shoreline Hospital provides exceptional care forOrtho, Oncology, and MedSurg patients. Our RNs care for patients withelective surgeries, fractures from the ER, and medical overflow. Our InpatientOncology department is the only acute inpatient unit in the region. We takecare of patients who come in who may have a new or existing cancer diagnosis.We treat them with chemotherapyhematology interventions when indicated or maybe treating them for symptoms related to recently having chemotherapy. We alsocare for patients who may have a secondary diagnosis related to having cancer.Our wonderful team is passionate about taking care of our oncology population.Our focus is to create an environment that manages serioussituationsconditions with the sensitivity needed to enhance and invokephysical and emotional healing reflective of CHRISTUS Spohn's Mission.**_Requirements:_****EducationSkills** * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
