Staff Pharmacist

Position Summary

At Cloud Rx, as a Non-Dispensing Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team's operational success by providing specialized pharmaceutical services and collaborating with various stakeholders within the healthcare setting.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around prescriptions transfer, handling patient issues in partnership with the Tech Team Lead, acting as an escalation point for complex cases, building relationships with clinic providers and patients, managing clinic chats, and ensuring operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Prescriptions Transfer; Facilitate the seamless transfer of prescriptions from one pharmacy to another, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and safety requirements.
Review and process prescription transfer requests from patients and other healthcare providers efficiently.
Partner with Tech Lead to Handle Patients' Issues; Collaborate with the Tech Lead to address and resolve patients' inquiries, concerns, and medication-related issues.
Provide clinical expertise to support decision-making for patient-specific medication management.
Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point for complex medication cases, drug interactions, and other critical pharmaceutical issues that may arise within the pharmacy team.
Assist in resolving challenging situations that require a higher level of expertise or judgment.
Partner with Team Leads to Build Relationships with Clinic Providers and Patients: Work closely with Team Leads to establish and maintain strong relationships with clinic providers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with these stakeholders to optimize patient care and medication therapy outcomes.
Operational Success: Contribute to the overall operational success of the pharmacy by actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance pharmacy efficiency.
Responsible for Clinic Chats; Manage and respond to Clinic Chats, which may involve medication inquiries, medication adherence support, and other clinical discussions with patients.
Ensure timely and accurate responses to Clinic Chats to maintain a high standard of patient care.
KPIs Responsibilities; Includes responsibilities such as transferring patients to the dispensing pharmacy as well as handling re-transfers.
Other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
Valid pharmacist license in Texas.
5 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably in a non-dispensing role.
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical practices and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex medication-related issues.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Dedication to maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
