Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide full-scope primary care to adults including diagnosis, treatment, and consultation as part of a collaborative team.Engage in health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.Participate in continuous quality improvement and organization-wide teams to enhance patient care and services.Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.Apply best practices and evidence-based medicine in treating patients with complex needs.Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding the confidential handling of patient information.Minimum Position Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Valid State of Connecticut licensure and eligibility to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient manner.Commitment to providing culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.Proven success in effective communication with patients, peers, and other healthcare professionals.Experience with electronic health record systems and proficiency in using medical software and other technology.Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in an ambulatory care setting or urgent care environment.Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are highly valued but not mandatory.A track record of proactive problem-solving in a medical context.Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives.Skills: Excellent diagnostic and clinical judgement abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the aptitude for patient education.Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.Resourceful problem-solving skills and accountability in practice.Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.Benefits: Participation in the NHSC Loan Repayment ProgramProductivity bonus and paid malpractice and CMEComprehensive health benefits including dental, vision, health insurance, and a health savings accountPaid time off and professional development assistance401(k) with 4% matching and no vesting requiredFlexible spending account, life insurance, and tuition reimbursementEmployee assistance program, discount programs, and more
