No matter what." ________________________________________ Planned Parenthood Great Plains is currently seeking a seeking a Staff Physician to work at our Health Centers in the Kansas City metro area. The staff physician provides direct medical care for patients seeking medical and surgical abortion services, vasectomies, family planning, and/or gender-affirming services. Depending on organizational needs and the provider's areas of expertise, the staff physician may serve as the director of one of CHPPGP's clinical programs, providing oversight of medical standards and guidelines, training, and quality of care for a particular service line.

\n Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides direct services to patients in the affiliate health centers as scheduled or as indicated.Performs all duties, medical care and surgical procedures including abortion and vasectomies in accordance with PPFA guidelines, PPGP policies and protocols and state and federal regulations. Maintains license, hospital privileges.Oversees onboarding and training of new fellows at various abortion health centers. When onsite at health centers that have fly-in physicians, ensures that the health center functions smoothly.Participates in Planned Parenthood Federation of America activities for physicians and medical directors.Understands and complies with all informed consent, mandated waiting periods and parental consent laws. Documents compliance with all laws.Strictly follows all OSHA and Infection Control guidelines for reducing risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens and in the handling and disposal of hazardous waste. Uses PPE as required.Understands and complies with Risk Management and Safety Procedures.Complies with regulations regarding patient rights.Understands and complies with Child and Minor Abuse identification and reporting.Supports and carries out PPGP's Mission: upholding the standard for providing high quality sexual and reproductive healthcare; providing education that promotes informed proud and authentic sexuality; changing the culture through proactive advocacy to ensure equality in reproductive and sexual decision making.Supports PPGP's Strategic Plan and ensures accountability through successful implementation of assigned objectives.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in relevant webinars.Maintains confidentiality of all agency information, employee nonpublic personal information (NPI) and personal health information (PHI), as well as records directly or indirectly identifying any person currently or formerly receiving services from PPGP.Accepts and uses supervision, direction, and consultation to maximize available resources in the completion of work duties.Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed to maintain and improve effective functioning of the Health Services department and to advance PPGP's mission. All job responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of PPGP's policies and procedures.PROGRAM DIRECTOR ROLEEach clinical program at Comprehensive Health of Planned Parenthood Great Plains (CHPPGP) is led by a designated program director who provides oversight and guidance across the affiliate. Program directors must meet requirements set forth in CHPPGP's Medical Standards & Guidelines and perform certain additional functions. Specific job descriptions exist for each. Providers may, as needed to support organizational operations, serve as director of one or more CHPPGP clinical program. Additional information is available regarding program directorship. QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCELicensed medical doctor in practicing state (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and/or Oklahoma); board certified or board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology or family medicine required; minimum 3 years experience practicing medicine, ability to travel between clinics. Previous work experience in women's reproductive health required.Individual must:Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookDemonstrate proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software; prior experience with Epic preferred.Effectively present information to groups and individuals through verbal and written formats.Demonstrate the ability to recognize, understand, accept and appreciate the value of workplace diversity; respect the practices, values, and points of view of other individuals and groups. Be able to communicate with a diverse group of staff from various professional backgrounds.Serve as a positive ambassador for the Health Services departmentDemonstrate discretion and compassion when dealing with PPGP clients and patientsMaintain confidentiality of all patient and PPGP information.Accomplish tasks through concern for all aspects of the job with attention to detail and accuracy.Express ability to complete activities/projects in a timely manner, on or before scheduled deadlines, with minimal errors.Demonstrate self-motivation and ability to work independently within a fast-paced office.Travel to all parts of the facility and throughout the affiliate network including Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.Effectively support and carry out PPGP's mission.Have admitting privileges at a local hospital(s) as required by applicable regulations and/or payersAs a professional working in a health care setting, must be free from tuberculosis as demonstrated by physical exam.
