We are currently seeking a Per Diem Child Psychiatrist to work in our Union City Outpatient Department.
(Per Diem Status working 19 hours or less a week.

About the Outpatient Department Program: Our Outpatient Program uses a multi-disciplinary approach; emphasis is placed on individualized assessment, goal-oriented treatment planning, periodic case review, and continuity of care for all persons served.
The program provides treatment and support to adults, children, and adolescents experiencing mental illness, behavioral, emotional or social problems.
Enrollees are provided with means for developing and achieving short and long-term goals addressing their particular needs and circumstances necessary for effective functioning.
Program components include: evaluation; treatment planning; individual and group counseling; couples and family counseling; skills training; advocacy services; case management; and medication management.
Individuals ages 5 and up are treated.
Schedule: Flexibility regarding days and amount of hours available per week.Job Duties of Outpatient Child Psychiatrist: Provide psychiatric evaluation, initial psychiatric assessment, and ongoing psychiatric review at least two times per yearMeet with the clients regularlyParticipate in, review, approve, supervise and provide input into the treatment and service plans provided to each consumerProvide consultation to program staff on an ongoing basis and medical input into the development of the programParticipate in trainings and weekly meetings and be available and provide in-service training to program staffComplete applicable paperwork to keep cases active, specifically, progress notesCall in prescriptions and information for dictation, return client phone calls, and follow up with referral sourcesAssure that all psychiatric and medical services that are provided by the program meet accepted standards of medical practiceAssume professional responsibility for the treatment and services provided and assure that the treatment and services are medically appropriateRequirements for Partial Care Psychiatrist: N.J.
Medical Doctor's LicenseCurrent N.J.
Controlled Dangerous Substance RegistrationCurrent USDEA Controlled Substance RegistrationBoard certified or eligible in child psychiatryMedical Doctor's DegreePreferred Experience: Two to three years of experience in the field of psychiatry.
