ABOUT OUR UNIT/AREA:
Our beautiful Cancer Center is offsite from Maury Regional Hospital, in what the locals refer to as Shady Brook Mall, the old mall that has been revitalized.
Currently, we have 5 FT radiation therapists, 2 PRN therapists and one CT sim tech, supporting two physicians.
Our team also consists of 3 nurses, 1 nurse navigator, 3 dosimetrists, 2 physics, 1 physicist assistant, 1 secretary and 1 office coordinator.
We have two Linacs, a Trilogy and a Truebeam, and are treating between 70-80 patients a day.
We have a robust HDR program, but it is managed by physics and doesn't require a radiation therapist.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiation Therapists areas of technical competencies should include: Assisting the Radiation Oncologist in the daily care and treatment delivery of therapeutic radiation to cancer patients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Board certified by the AART as a Registered Technologist R.T. (T) Required
2 Years of Related Experience Preferred
