Unit Description: The Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit is a 48-bed unit that sees patients from birth to 23 years old. The unit sees all sorts of pediatric patients. Some of the most common admitting diagnoses are asthma, RSV, seizures, dehydration, poor feeding, suicide attempts, and headaches. The most common surgeries performed are appendicitis, bowel obstructions, general abdominal surgery and tonsils. The patient/nurse ratio is usually 4 to 5 patients to 1 RN. Schedule: Full time (3-12 hour shifts)- rotating shift (3 weeks Days, 3 weeks Nights) Candidates are eligible to receive up to $20,000 as a competitive sign on bonus. Those relocating from more than 50 miles away will also receive relocation assistance. Requirements: - A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
