About the teamSemgrep's Infrastructure team is responsible for building and maintaining Semgrep's internal developer platform which supports many applications including our flagship Code, Supply Chain, and Secrets products, the Semgrep Cloud Platform and Semgrep Managed Scanning.
Our team mission is to enable Semgrep'ers to effectively and confidently build, run, and manage their systems.
We do this by providing a tightly integrated platform for going "from code to cloud" including CI/CD systems, Kubernetes on AWS cloud environments, and tools for operating software in production.
About the roleWe are looking for an SRE who is passionate about scalable, secure, performant, and reliable software.
You will:
Own major infrastructure initiatives end-to-end, from working with stakeholders to identify needs through implementation, onboarding, and maintenanceDevelop technical strategy, working cross functionally with other leaders at the company to determine the evolution of our cloud infrastructureCollaborate with engineers and product managers to support them in building the best possible productsArchitect and build simple, maintainable, extensible and observable software systemsAdvise, mentor, and sponsor other engineers inside and outside the teamMaintain the software systems we operate as part of our platformYou are ideal for this role if:You have 7+ years of experience developing and operating production softwareYou are familiar with AWS and KubernetesYou are passionate about improving the availability and reliability of software systemsYou know how to work iteratively, fail fast, manage risk, and effectively respond to incidentsYou have experience leading complex initiatives and working across teamsYou are a thoughtful mentor and lifelong learnerCompensationSalary Range: $185,000-$218,000
Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.
Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
