Success as a Technical Program Manager in our Connected Vehicle Software division requires someone who is centered around product and engineering excellence with a bias for action.

You will engage with complex engineering programs, demonstrating leadership and a strong command of the tools and process required to achieve the teams' goals.
You will lead programs in a principled way, and by example when the opportunities arise. You will have consummate communications skills, keeping up- and down-stream dependencies well aligned, and all stakeholders well-informed.
You're as comfortable writing clear and concise content for leadership as you are leading a system design meeting.
Ideal candidates will have experienced multiple product cycles involving software and services, including up-and down-stream dependencies.
What you'll do
Partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize and deliver major strategic initiatives that span multiple teams and multiple organizations across Ford.
Understand the needs of stakeholders across the company and influence as appropriate to achieve alignment on the prioritized initiatives.
Lead the defining and tracking of success criteria and performance metrics, including Objectives and Key Results [OKRs].
Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable Ford to meet customer commitments across all customer constituencies.
Lead team members on modern, world-class, software development practices including CICD and immaculate execution of a technical plan (including management of milestone progress, dependency tracking, issue triage, backlog management and daily scrum leveraging DevOps tools like Jira.
Personally own the relationships with other divisions at Ford, ensuring dependencies are met and quality of deliverables is high.
Embody the voice of the customer, guiding your team to be data-driving in its decision-making.
What you'll do…
Use your experience in program management and software delivery to
Ensure quoted delivery timelines are reasonable from development teams
Expose weak areas of design and architecture that may affect delivery
Identify and lead key integration milestones where software delivery is demonstrated
Uncover technical risks across the integration of software across multiple teams
Lead problem solving efforts for bug resolution across multiple teams
Lead quality initiatives using knowledge of physics and embedded development to solve complex problems
Eliminate bottlenecks in software development and testing that may affect delivery
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar related technical field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years working experience in product or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services
10+ years working in a technical capacity or working closely with an engineering team
Even better, you may have...
Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (ie: JIRA, ADO, etc.)
Familiarity with modern software development practices (continuous integration / continuous deployment)
Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines (engineering, product, design, QA, etc.) on high complexity projects throughout the entire product lifecycle
