JOB SUMMARY:
Americo is currently hiring a Statutory Reporting Manager who will be primarily responsible for delivering statutory quarterly and annual statements.
Specifically, the Statutory Reporting Manager supervises the preparation and review of all required insurance technical reporting submissions within these filings and provides meaningful analysis of the financial results to management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the preparation of the quarterly STAT financial statements for all life companies Manage the process of making all regulatory financial filings Prepare relevant analysis of the financial performance of the company Monitor statutory accounting and other regulatory requirements and ensure company compliance Maintain STAT reporting structure to ensure accurate and efficient financial statements Supervision and development of staff KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles and regulatory filing requirements.
Familiarity with GAAP Understanding of general ledger systems Moderate knowledge of management principles Ability to research issues and reach technical conclusions Ability to analyze financial results and intuitively conclude as to reasonableness Ability to communicate professionally (orally and written) with internal and external clients Ability to manage processes and projects and allocate resources within the departments Ability to select and focus on the most important issues and balance multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities EDUCATION: Four-year college education
