They are searching for a Structural Steel Estimator.
Our client company installs heavy structural steel for the commercial construction industry.
Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire Steel Estimator that has experience in heavy structural steel erection projects.
Working experience with Tekla EPM and Bluebeam software is a plus.
Qualifications for Structural Steel Estimator:
• 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry
• Project Experience on Heavy Steel Construction 5,000 Tons
• Knowledge of current AISC structural codes and standards
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Ability to calculate costs and prepare estimates
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities for Structural Steel Estimator:
• Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate and communicate with team members
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients
• Manage and monitor project budgets and schedules
• Monitor and review changes in project scope
• Ensure all materials, labor and equipment costs are accurately included in estimates
• Prepare accurate material take offs
• Assist in developing and implementing cost-effective strategies
Estimator Job Functions
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings and specifications
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between estimates and actual cost
• Monitor progress of projects and recommend changes to ensure timelines and budgets are met
• Produce estimates, bids, and proposals for projects
• Analyze materials, labor and equipment costs for accuracy and completeness
Compensation/Benefits for Structural Steel Estimator:
• $100,000 - $140,000 base salary DOE
