Sterile Compounding Technician – $20-$24 p/h depending on experience – Hoover, Alabama The Role Do you possess and active Pharmacy Technician license? Are you confident in preparing pharmaceutical compounds while meeting rigorous standards? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a 503B Sterile Compounding Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing sterile pharmaceutical products within a highly controlled environment. Your role will involve following strict protocols, operating complex equipment, and ensuring compliance with FDA and cGMP regulations. Working within ISO 7 rooms and ISO 5 workspaces, you'll play a key part in maintaining product safety and quality. We are hiring multiple candidates for this Monday - Friday, day-shift role. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and mix sterile medications according to cGMP, FDA, USP, and state board guidelines. Operate and monitor technical compounding and filling equipment. Record and maintain manufacturing documentation. Ensure all products meet potency, sterility, purity, and quality standards. Sterilize devices and equipment under supervision. Track inventory levels and report low stock or expiring items. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants. Complete batch reconciliation and verification processes. Maintain competency in aseptic techniques through evaluations and testing. Additional duties as assigned by management. Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and familiarity with aseptic techniques. Experience: Prior experience with 503B sterile compounding is preferred. Qualifications: High school diploma (or GED), PTCB Certification (preferred). Physical: Able to lift 30 pounds, sit/stand for extended periods, possess good vision for product inspection, and have fine motor skills.
