Job Title : Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Shift Hours : 8 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in our logistics operations, responsible for both shipping and receiving tasks as well as ensuring accurate inventory control. This position involves utilizing computer systems for preparing materials, supplies, and equipment for shipment, and may include handling material movements within the warehouse. The Clerk is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely distribution of materials to required areas. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy of shipments against packing lists or invoices.
Prepare materials for shipment according to established procedures, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Utilize various freight systems to label and meter packages for distribution.
Package orders securely, ensuring items are packed according to specifications or shipping best practices.
Process orders using the SAP system or other designated software.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the warehouse.
Prepare daily for upcoming distribution activities, ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Support divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Health Systems (EHS).
Perform tasks in compliance with governmental regulations and quality system requirements.
Flexibility to work overtime, including holidays and weekends, as needed based on business demands.
Collaborate effectively within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or a related field.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and preparing shipments.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with shipping software and the SAP system preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.
