About The Opportunity
The Stockroom Coordinator is responsible for the issuing, receiving, coordinating, and stocking of general consumables, drilling accessories, and supplies at the assigned operational site.
Knowledge of industry stock supplies and their use preferred but not required.
Must be able to operate a forklift for receiving and shipping purposes and be able to safely operate a bit sharpening machine.
What you will be doing:
Receive and disperse supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.Maintain adequate inventory levels.Provide information and recommendations about stock supplies to the Procurement Manager.Perform regular functions with a computer including, Email, Virtual Calls, Data Entry, and others as required.Maintain drill accessories inventory log via Sage electronic database.Receive in Purchase Orders and issue out drill accessories to Job Numbers via Sage electronic database.Maintain stock room in an orderly and professional manner.Verify quantities and unpack, inspect, and stock material.Unload drill accessory deliveries via forkliftSet- up and operate drill-sharpening machine to sharpen 'used' drill bits returned by company drillers as needed.Read work order to determine priority, number and size of drill bits to be sharpened.Evaluate bits for potential sharpening or disposal and select polishing 'cup' size for bit chuck.Perform weekly drill-sharpening machine maintenance according to manufacturer's recommendation.Perform or schedule maintenance for the facility.Safely operate company vehicle for offsite deliveries as necessary.Other duties as assigned, has no supervisory responsibility.
In order to be successful in this role, here is what we will need from you:
High school degree or equivalent.General industry knowledge.Good oral communications skills.PC skills with understanding of database and spreadsheet applications.Self starter with hands on experience.Must be flexible and able to make decisions that are in the company's best interest.Ability to perform essential functions of the position.Ability to lift 50 - 80 lbs.Inside office and Outside environment.
All weather conditions.Work on uneven and loose surfaces.Stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time.Work from 7:30am to 4:00pmOvertime may be required.Ability to operate a forklift.Ability to obtain DOT medical certificate.Possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record as defined by the company insurance carrier. About You
You have experience working in a stockroom or similar environment, are able to safely operate a forklift and bit sharpening machine, and you are also comfortable using computer applications to manage inventory and purchase orders.
You prefer hands-on work where you can contribute to the success of a team.
