Overview: Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Store Manager to lead its Great Mall location in Milpitas, California.
Coming in March 2025! The Store Manager will oversee the daily operation of the store including the overall management of the team, merchandise, and sales results.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this position is responsible for loss prevention compliance, human resources management, as well as visual merchandising presentation.
The Store Manager will lead by example and deliver positive and inclusive client experiences which contribute to the overall commercial success.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Business Acumen: Lead team to achieve individual and team sales targetsImplement a culture that leverages on all KPIsAnalyze sales figures and KPIs using available data/systems to better understand performance and sales opportunitiesCustomer Experience: Deliver excellence; strive to exceed the expectations of clientsDrive the team to fully embrace a clienteling culture of building strong and long-term relationships with clientsEnsure the development, implementation, and execution of company CRM initiatives by providing action plans to the teamPromote brand awareness, establish market/store presence through community engagement and store eventsVisual Merchandising: In partnership with visual merchandising team, ensure store visual standards are met and maintainedSupport the Visual Team in planning and performing any necessary changes in visual environmentReview sales frequently and take action on visual merchandising to improve salesPeople Management: Develop, train, and continuously motivate associates towards achieving and exceeding sales objectivesLead the recruitment process; build a talent pipeline through networking and competitive shoppingProvide guidance to associates; deliver constructive feedback and learning opportunities through coaching conversationsOversee performance process for all associates and assist in establishing goals/objectivesBuild development plans for all employees; identify and create action plansEnsure a consistent and seamless onboarding experience for all new hiresSchedule effectively to drive sales and manage the allocation of staff resourcesPartner with Regional Manager and Human Resources for all employee relations issues to ensure effective course of actionPromote a culture of belonging; ensure that all individuals feel welcomed, valued and includedOperations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure the store meets key performance indicators and profit and loss expectationsMaintain inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards by regularly following up with operations and implementing initiatives as neededMaintain store operating budget while aiming to reduce overall costComply with all Loss Prevention audits, cycle counts, incident reporting and inventory reconciliations to ensure annual inventory shrinkage is below company targetOversee the processing of incoming and outbound merchandise requests and shipmentsDevelop accurate monthly schedules by analyzing peak hours to ensure adequate floor coverage and timely submission of payroll records for all employeesUphold company and store standards, policies and proceduresQUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years' retail experienceMinimum of 3+ years' experience managing others within a customer service environment requiredProven record of motivating, developing, and coaching team membersStrong analytical skills - ability to analyze retail KPI's and on-floor behaviorsAbility to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the businessDemonstrated verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skillsPassion for the Marc Jacobs brand and product offeringPassionate about the customer experienceDelivers Excellence - demonstrates passion and empathy, anticipates and exceeds client expectationsCultivate an Entrepreneurial Spirit - embraces change and new opportunities while remaining true to the DNA of Marc JacobsCreative & Innovative - promotes curiosity, diversity and collaboration – is open to disruptive ideasAbility to connect to the customer through excellent service, strong visual presentation and business acumenComputer skills including operating a POS and navigating Microsoft Office suiteMust have flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidaysSALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER: The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 - $75,000 (annually) plus bonus.
The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate's relevant skills and experience.
