What You'll Do: As a Strategic Marketing Manager for thermoplastic medical devices, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the development and bringing to market precision extrusions, molded components and assemblies for minimally invasive device applications. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact the creation and implementation of the global product strategy, including pricing, promotion, forecasting new items, directing the new business development teams towards opportunities, and supporting the sales organization in securing new opportunities. You will define the product line pricing and positioning strategy, collaborate with Marketing and Communications on promotion of the product lines, work closely with the sales organization and lead the Subject Matter Experts (SME) to secure new business and develop the product line forecasts. You will be responsible for the strategic marketing functions for specific material components or device development, and support the sales teams by:
Determining target markets, customer segmentation and target customersCreating and implementing product line strategy to grow business, gaining market share and developing new opportunitiesManaging all pricing actions, including pricing analytics and margin improvementManaging product and customer portfolio via 80/20 and margin velocity reviews including action item planning, complexity reduction and accountabilityPreparing business cases to support product line strategy and investmentsOwning the product development strategy, and being a key stakeholder in the intake process and development reviewsCollaborating with technical and operations teams to create promotional content and work with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver product informationDeveloping competitive intelligence and counter strategies to maintain value and price leadership in the marketplaceAligning business needs with operations and supply chain to prioritize and maximize service capabilities to customers while identifying ways to minimize overall cost position and risk for obsolescenceP&L accountability for specific market segmentCollaborating with sales team in development of annual plan and quarterly forecasts for specific market segmentAccompanying sales team on strategic customer visits or presentations as neededAttending trade shows and industry symposiums to educate self on emerging markets, clinical trends and customersConducting cadenced reviews of status monitoring, analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and making data-driven decisions to optimize results.Conducting market research to determine market size, identify trends, customer unmet needs, and competitive landscape.Skills and Experience That Make A Difference: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, marketing, engineering or Product Management preferredMinimum of 5 years combined experience in the medical device industry with experience in thermoplastic extrusions, silicone extrusions, molding, dip casting, sheeting, and device assembly.Strong analytical skills, business acumen and technical competencyStrong excel and powerpoint skillsAbility to present strategy to leadershipDemonstrated ability to successfully influence across cross functional departmentsAbility to travel domestically and internationally (50%)Perks and Rewards That Inspire: Competitive salary with performance-based bonus plans401K Match plus Age Weighted Defined ContributionCompetitive medical, dental & vision offeringsReady for your next career step?
