Minimum Requirements: Education: High school graduation or equivalency.
Experience: 6 months of previous experience required in a similar or related position.
Physical Demands: A main requirement of the job is physical labor.
Forces exerted are equivalent to lifting more than 50 pounds.

The City of Peoria's Streets Division is looking for hard working individuals to fill Street Maintenance Worker positions in their Signs and Striping Unit.
You will perform general street maintenance tasks such as; provide traffic control for striping operations, perform various labor intensive tasks to install various pavement markings, install and fabricate traffic signs, attend trainings, and share your unique talents to all tasks listed, and all others as assigned.
This labor-intensive position will need someone who enjoys working outdoors, and can meet the physical demands listed in our job description.

The ideal candidate for this position will have: Passion for working outdoors in the elements.
Working knowledge of basic construction practices.
Great attitude and the ability to work within a team structure, and perform solo tasks as required.
Possess the ability to be coachable and learn new processes.
