Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant position in Student Leadership, Engagement & Belonging.
Start Date
Position available on or after September 16, 2024 and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
This position will assist the Black Student Success Coordinator with office operations, event operations and outreach to promote and support students participating in BSS activities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist the Black Student Success Coordinator in maintaining accurate records for students participating in BSS activities.
Manage and create post surveys to track success and areas of improvements for BSS programming.
Meet regularly with Black Student Success Coordinator.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and signature events as required.
Support activities/programs at the Stockton Campus as required.
Assist with Black Student Success or Student Leadership, Engagement & Belonging (SLEB) tabling activities and signature programs as required.
Participate in BSS trainings and workshops as needed.
Work collaboratively with the Black Student Success Coordinator and within the university community to create a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters Black Student success.
Work with the Black Student Success coordinator to co-create engaging programming that centers Black culture and students.
Work with BSS coordinator to maintain relationships and communications with Black student, faculty and staff organizations.
Aid in collecting and maintaining statistics and data for planning and reporting purposes.
Research other colleges and universities and keep up with trends in Black Student Success
Analyze, recommend, and implement innovative and creative ideas and solutions to provide students with an informative and memorable experience.
Assist with outreach activities such as tabling, in class presentations, both at the Turlock and Stockton Campus
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying
Salary Range
$16 per hour.
