This entry position has been created specifically for nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing and have a valid CNA license.
Job Summary: Our Student Nurse Assistant (SNA) position will afford you the opportunity to apply what you have learned in your nursing program.
The role of the SNA will provide direct hands-on tech-based experience as you assume responsibility for the care of a group of patients under the supervision of an experienced registered nurse (RN).
Your skills will shine through as you assist with daily tasks from organizing care for our patients to preparing patients for transfers and discharge.
Having an opportunity to work from a unit-based position will diversify and solidify your clinical skills as you prepare for the next step in your career path as a Student Nurse Extern during your senior year of nursing school.
Available start date: December 16 th or January 6 th Required Commitment: During the winter break, you must be able to commit to working at least two shifts per week in order to successfully complete orientation.
Once classes resume, a commitment to working two (12-hour) shifts per six-week schedule will be required.
Hours: 12-hour shifts / Flexible scheduling to fit your school schedule Pay: $18.77 per hour Education/Training: Active enrollment as a nursing student in an accredited nursing program; Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing (or the equivalent) in an accredited nursing program; Official transcripts will be required at time of hire and at the end of each semester to validate active enrollment.
License/Certification: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing is required; BLS (CPR for Healthcare Providers) certification.
Experience: No clinical experience outside of nursing school is required.
