GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures.
Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and Produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation.
Documents patient history, prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist.
Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.
High school diploma or equivalent; Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and BCLS required.
Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity and variations of anatomical postures.
