Hiring hourly range: $99,840 - $106,080 (hourly/salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

As a Subcontract Coordinator and Safety Professional, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:
Serve as a vendor management coordinator and safety liaison between the vendors, client, maintenance team, operations team, and staff leveraging demonstrated interpersonal skills to implement compliant, creative, inclusive, and cost-effective solutions to support operations.
Within Amentum, our group provides maintenance services for our clients industrial, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, and commercial sites worldwide.
In depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and operations is not necessary for this role.
As the Subcontract Coordinator and Safety Specialist, your daily duties for this role will include:
+ Support the review and development of occupational health and safety policies and programs as they relate to regulatory expectations.
+ Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (Job Hazard Analysis, PPE assessments, Industrial Hygiene concerns, etc.)
+ Conduct risk assessments and define proper control and preventative measures for various high hazard exposures such as LOTO, electrical safety, fall protection, machine guarding, etc.
+ Record, investigate, and analyze incidents to determine root causes and develop effective corrective/preventative actions.
+ Coordinate with site leadership to facilitate execution of monthly safety roadmap items.
+ Maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal and external customers, service providers, and building occupants.
+ Partner with business customers to reconcile vendor conflicts, coordinating corrective actions until resolution is complete.
+ Maintain proficiency in CMMS work order system to update equipment history and access material inventory management system.
+ Partner with management leaders and teams to facilitate current year purchase order close out process.
+ Collaborate with management leaders and teams to coordinate year beginning activities associated with purchase order creation.
+ Initiate purchase change order to adjust funding, time limits, and quotes as appropriate.
+ Manage all aspects of invoice reconciliation, including validating accuracy of purchase order, work order and expense coding; confirming alignment with service quote and payment terms; verifying serviced has been performed; approval process; clearing unmatched invoices, etc.
+ Work closely with Accounts Payable in prevention of double billing or incorrect payment.
+ Support vendor management safety program as necessary.
+ Work closely with corporate procurement to ensure vendor accountability and compliance.
+ Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
As the Subcontract Coordinator and Safety Specialist, you will be expected to:

+ Review existing policies and measures and update according to current legislation and company expectations.
+ Initiate and organize OHS training expectations for site personal and organize?documentation for all OHS related compliance material.
+ Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues?or non-conformity (e.g.
not using protective equipment)
+ Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
+ Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and?handle workers compensation claims.
+ Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
**Communication**
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
+ Ability to communicate clearly via phone
+ Ability to work closely with customer during site emergencies.
+ Excellent oral and written communications
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.
+ Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.
+ Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
+ Four years work experience in a role with 50% or more responsibility dedicated to safety of operations.
+ Three years of experience in business administration, operations support, or a related business support role in a facility management, maintenance planning, engineering, or construction environment.
+ Demonstrated experience in a high visibility customer service role with multiple customer streams.
+ Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
+ Ability to obtain a security access badge at our clients location.
+ Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
+ Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
**Some physical/special requirements include:**
+ Regularly lift to 50 lbs
+ Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding
+ Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.
+ Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
+ Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions
+ Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
+ Diligent with great attention to detail
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
**Preferred Requirements**
+ Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
+ In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g.
OSHA/EPA/statutory) and general industry applications.
+ Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
+ Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
+ Undergraduate degree in the safety and/or environmental health field
+ Professional certificate in occupational health and safety
+ Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
+ Demonstrated experience coordinating vendors and subcontractors.
+ Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
+ Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
+ Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.
+ Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
+ Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
