Substation Construction Crew Lead

LCRA Internal Construction is looking for an experienced Crew Lead to guide substation construction structural activities, in a high-voltage environment, throughout the LCRA service territory!

You will be trusted to:
- Lead substation construction crew daily activities in project execution
- In the absence of a supervisor, provide on-site leadership for all crew members
- Ensure crew safety through established safety procedures and protocols
- Provide detailed reporting of construction status to leadership
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew, sometimes overnight, to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.) as scheduled.

You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance or repair in a high-voltage environment or transmission line installation, maintenance or repair. A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial or mechanical maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license

- CDL. Must obtain Class A Texas commercial driver's license within one year (365 days) of hire as a condition of employment
