Position Description: Wade Trim is seeking a Substation Electrical Engineering Summer Intern for our ICE group in our Michigan offices. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (junior or senior status preferred) and possess valid driver's license. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized and have excellent communication skills.
This position will design electrical installation and protective relaying and control (PR&C) components for electrical substation projects, including but not limited to, substation equipment layout, detailed electrical installation design, and PR&C design steel design, in accordance with governing industry codes and standards. This position requires periods of intense concentration. This position is hybrid, with the option to be within a normal office environment, work fully remote, or a combination thereof. This position requires infrequent travel. This position will provide frequent exposure to electrical design standards and codes, including but not limited to, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and NESC.
