Would you like to teach in a setting where you can improve students' learning, promote their resilience and confidence, and make a genuine difference? Ignite Achievement Academy is a private, accredited school serving students in grades K-12 with special needs and learning differences. As a substitute classroom teacher, you will deliver instruction to each child in the classroom in alignment with their instructional plan. Each classroom consists of approximately six students who receive a mixture of whole-group instruction and small-group instruction based on their unique learning needs. Our substitute teachers receive training upon hire so they are equipped to work in our unique environment to cover for teacher absences throughout the school year. The curriculum and class structure is very detailed so you will have all of the information needed to succeed!
Key Responsibilities Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure continuity of instruction;
Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning;Manage classroom behavior in a respectful manner;Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration;Provide feedback to the classroom teacher regarding student performance and any issues that arose during their absence;Adhere to all school policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Associate's degree;Possess a passionate belief that all students are capable of success and learn in unique ways;
Strong classroom management skills;Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and grade levels;Ability to follow lessons plans and instructions accordingly;Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
Ability to pass a background check.
