Overview:
We are currently searching for several motivated individuals to join our Terrain Park team this coming winter as snowcat operators.
The focus of a park cat operator is the nightly maintenance of our parks and construction or installation of park features. At Sugarloaf we pride ourselves on offering the best parks possible from opening day in November till closing day in early May.
This position is key for keeping our network of 6 terrain parks safe, fun, and exciting for our guests.
All Sugarloaf full time seasonal staff receive a free season pass to Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon Mountain and this position is eligible for an end of season bonus.
Positions are available on both Swing and Overnight shift.



Responsibilities:
Safe operation of grooming equipmentCompletion of all pre-op and post op proceduresCompletion of park grooming logs and updating build mapsPark specific trail maintenance; i.e.
filling in ruts and bombholes, regrading takeoffs, etc.Grooming of space between park featuresCommunicate with hand crew about any issues from the previous day, or if anything needs extra attention in the morningAssist with and/or complete overnight building Able to take written direction and accomplish goals independently with little to no supervision Work together as a team with both grooming and other departments

Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a high school degree and be at least 18 years of ageStrong skier/snowboarder with some park riding experience preferredPrevious terrain park grooming experience or snowcat experience is necessary, but exceptions may be made for those who can demonstrate exceptional knowledge in other aspects of terrain park operations in their applicationMust be available nights, weekends, and some holidaysMust be a positive team playerAttention to detail and the drive to try and make our parks "photo-shoot ready" every day.Sugarloaf Team Member Benefits include: Free lift pass for skiing and/or riding (at Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon Mtn)Discounts at resort F&B and retail locationsDiscounted ski/snowboard lessons and rentalsAccess to Nordic trails and discounted equipment rentals at our Outdoor Center locationDiscounted passes at other Boyne and partner resortsEligibility for end of season loyalty bonus
