Summer Student – Parks and Recreation Programs and Events RESPONSIBILITIESProvide assistance to Manager of Recreation Programs and Special Events, or designate with the setup, take down, and ongoing maintenance of event related items before, during and after programs and events.Assist in organizing and updating various programs and related projects related to Kingsville Parks and Recreation DepartmentAssist in planning events and programs related to Kingsville Parks and Recreation Department. Implement youth friendly programming like Play in the Park and Summer Camp. Support the execution of events. Supporting various committees such as Fantasy of Lights, Migration Festival and Communities in Bloom. Being a Kingsville ambassador at various events to promote the Town. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 16 years of age by May 1, 2025.Must be in full time attendance at a Secondary School, University or Community College recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education and returning to school in September 2025.Have and maintain a valid G2 or G driver's licence.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete tasks and assignments with minimal supervision within specified time frames.Enjoy working with children and at outdoors at events Ability to operate a variety of office programs and equipment efficiently and proficiently.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal with the public, staff and outside groups and agencies.Must have or be willing to obtain CPR, and High Five WORKING CONDITIONS40 hours per week.Evening and weekend shifts are mandatory.Working outside in various weather conditions.
