Superintendent Overview
The Superintendent plans, schedules, and oversees the construction of wood multi-family projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe field execution. They lead the on-site team, including Assistant Superintendents, and coordinate all field construction activities, working closely with Project Managers and subcontractors. They ensure safety and quality control policies are implemented effectively.
Essential Duties Assist in preconstruction, identifying project and contract requirements.Develop and manage project schedules with the Project Manager.Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors and lead the team through project closeout.Maintain production schedules and manage scopes of work for subcontractors.Enforce safety protocols to meet OSHA standards.Manage quality control plans and supervise project personnel.Oversee project turnover/closeout processes.Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.Proven experience as a Superintendent on multi-family wood projects.Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing multiple reports.Proficiency in construction software and tools.
