Superintendent

We are currently looking for an experienced Superintendent to support projects within the Washington, DC area that has a background in the roofing and waterproofing industry on commercial projects. Our client is a specialty contractor that focuses on roofing and waterproofing commercial projects. They are looking for someone who is savvy and is very organized. Job Requirements: • Superintendents ensure that work is done on schedule, within budget, and with the quality and workmanship expected by industry standards. • Experience in project administration working for a specialty contractor or GC RFIs, submittals, scheduling, documentation, change orders, and contract administration. • Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures and set up a safety plan including toolbox talks, safety huddles • Ability to supervise and lead the crew to meet the quality and production goals • Calculate and control labor projections, material storage, and material needs • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to train and supervise the crew and subcontractors as needed • Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments • Managing their assigned crews to ensure that a project moves in the proper direction safely and profitably. • Have daily/weekly meetings with project leads to discuss project requirements, safety hazards, and resource requirements. • Interact with customers and maintain positive relationships with clients. • Ability to read shop drawings and reproduce manufacturing details and how-to layout roofs and walls.
