ResponsibilitiesPerform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagementsIdentifying and communicating (i) critical deal issues, (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structurePerform valuation using discounted cash flow method, public company comparable, and transaction comparableAnalyze companies' strategic position and corresponding forecastsPerform research and industry analysesReview purchase price allocationsChallenging assumptions related to future financial projectionsIdentifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flowsInteracting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the clientReviewing and preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findingsAssist with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheet/ of purchase price allocations, and (ii) closing working capital calculations.Comfortable with advanced Excel functionalities: building flatfiles, pivot tables, macros, and using advanced formulas such as SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECTDesired Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent requiredGPA of 3.5 or betterRated top 25% of Big Four class2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting is required. 1-2 years of valuation experience at a big four or large firm's transaction advisory services is a plus.CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certificationKnowledge in forecast and budget tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)International experience (a plus, but not required)Experience with advanced data applications like Power Query and/or AlteryxProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skillsSome travel may be required (about 25%) Connor Group is committed to celebrating the value of diversity in a globally connected business world.
