Are you a tax professional with a knack for State and Local Tax (SALT) regulations?

We are currently seeking a Supervising Senior Tax professional with experience in State and Local Tax for a permanent role in our Accounting and Finance department.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your leadership skills, while overseeing and guiding a team of dedicated tax associates.
Responsibilities:
As a Supervising Senior Tax professional, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
1.
Overseeing the preparation and review of complex state and local tax returns.
2.
Providing tax planning services and suggesting strategies to clients to help them achieve their financial goals.
3.
Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
4.
Ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
5.
Assisting in the development and implementation of tax accounting policies and procedures.
6.
Conducting research on complex tax issues and providing solutions.
7.
Providing training to staff on tax-related matters, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations.
8.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax data.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on State and Local Tax (SALT).
At least 1 year of supervisory expereince.
2.
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
3.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
4.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a team.
5.
Excellent tax planning skills with the ability to provide strategic advice to clients.
6.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
7.
Proven experience in training staff on tax-related matters.
8.
A strong work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A CPA or Master's in Taxation is a plus.
