The Maintenance Supervisor – Maintenance Mining is committed to the development and implementation of the organizational strategies of the Maintenance Department. The supervisor provides leadership of the maintenance crew in safety, environmental compliance, and the maintenance of assigned equipment, coordination of repairs, preventive maintenance and documentation required. Maintenance Supervisor is committed to leadership principles and supervisory skills to help motivate personnel to develop safe and efficient work habits while maintaining a positive attitude toward the division and fellow employees.
What you will do: Directly supervise & manage direct report maintenance crew in all areas of the site.Assist in setting priorities on scheduled and unscheduled work with safety, planning the workday, and protecting the environment as the first priority.Accountable to assure Preventive Maintenance is performed on schedule, to assign work to each individual, and to get the proper permit before work starts.Carry out the daily or weekly plan; follow up on work assigned and to keep cost and downtime to budgeted levels.Complete required documentation, including time entry, condition reports, performance reviews and other written communication as requested.Accountable for training direct reports in Safety, Environmental standards, performance, work attitudes, and craftsmanship.Accountable to assign work, follow up on assigned jobs, assist direct reports in assigned work if needed to minimize unplanned downtime, cost of materials and overtime, to stay within the maintenance budget.Must solve personnel problems with P&M workforce and immediate subordinates including personal conflicts, failure to perform satisfactorily, assigning job schedules, hiring, employee counseling, and disciplinary action.What you will bring: A high school diploma and 5 years or more experience in industrial industry.Preferred Technical or Bachelor degree with 2 or more years of experience in industrial industry.Computer knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office suite.Completed Maintenance Craft Program or similar certification.Solid background in all types of equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, diesel engines, and bearings.Knowledge of welding practices and principles.Ready to make an impact with us?
