We want consistent and predictable operations done the right way, every time.Job Purpose/Summary:The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the prioritization, scheduling, and execution of maintenance projects including Preventive maintenance activities and emergency repair projects on an assigned asset or group of assets, keeping them in good, safe operating condition and in compliance with government regulations. This position requires pipeline knowledge, experience, and capability to deal with a variety of pipeline related issues. This person must be a self-motivator and willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities. Must be able to accommodate business travel and extended hours as needed.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the prioritization, scheduling, and execution of maintenance projects including preventive maintenance activities and emergency repair projects.Responsible for planning and directing hourly employees and contractors.Enforces company policies and procedures and leads by example with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.Provide expertise with regards to equipment reliability and technical performance.Effectively uses resources to complete routine and emergency repairs; Stays within budget limits and uses contractor and company employees efficiently to achieve company goals. Understands regulatory standards and applies it to activities including required documentationDevelop and implementation of a preventive maintenance program.Participate in the District Incident Command System.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Computer proficiency within Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Possess a strong background in the petroleum industry with a working knowledge of rotating equipment, industrial maintenance, crafts, instrumentation and procedures found in petroleum storage facilities and pipeline systems. Knowledge of pipeline mechanical equipment maintenance and repair (i.e. engines, pumps valves, actuators, etc.).Minimum 1 year supervisory experience with minimum 5 years of petroleum industry knowledge/experience is preferred.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams with excellent math skills.Ability to recognize talent, build teams and motivate staff to maximum productivity.Well-balanced interpersonal skills and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills.Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essentialMust be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutionsMust be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.Must be able to successfully complete company Haz-Mat training and required DOT operator qualification tasks.Must possess and maintain a valid State driver's license and an excellent driving recordWorking conditions are 70% outdoors and 30% indoor in all weather conditions such as rain, heat, or wind.Qualifications:Valid driver's license with a clean abstractCleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checksFluent speaking & writing English required.Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A Testing #PlainsOur employees drive our success.
