General Summary: Under the supervision and direction of the Director, Integrated Health, the Supervisor of Integrated Health Clinic Services accomplishes program(s) objectives by supervising staff, overseeing the delivery of psychiatric service and primary care clinic program functions, organizing, and monitoring work processes and functioning as a participant of the Clinical Supervisors team. The Supervisor of Integrated Health Clinic Services consistently incorporates LifeWays' mission, vision, and values into all decision-making processes.
Essential Functions: Responsible for day-to-day supervision, counseling, and discipline of direct staff according to procedure. Also responsible for performance evaluations, initial 90-day period for (direct report) new employees and annual thereafter. Educates and empowers staff to be adept at meeting current and future organizational needs, and adjusts schedule staff hours of work, priorities, and assignments to ensure efficient operation of programs. Through individual and group supervision, directs, supervises, trains, evaluates competencies and addresses performance issues consistently, promptly, and appropriately. Plans and facilitates meetings to communicate organization initiatives and updates to staff. Assists in the development and monitoring of department/program budget. Monitors and manages staff schedules to ensure that staff time is being utilized effectively and appropriately. Collaborates with Leadership Team members to address issues of compliance and ethics. Monitors credentialing, privileging, and licenses to ensure staff are up to date and staff are working within their scope. Ensures obligations regarding the specifications of the program, productivity, and frequency of patient contact are met consistently. Develops and leads staff training programs and exercises to maintain a culture of learning and clinical excellence. Regularly and consistently audits clinical documentation of staff for clinical proficiency, quality, and timeliness. Provides supervision to staff in other clinical services departments in the Operations Division as needed to ensure continuity of services. Demonstrates leadership and supervisory skills that fosters a culture that embodies LifeWays values of Exceptional Service, Person-Centered Care, Innovation, Integrity, Strategic Partnerships, and Compassion. Provides input on department policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Ensures programs are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and keeps informed about changes in laws and regulations. Provides or arranges for clinical oversight and direction for charge nurses in the Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) Arranges for 24/7 nursing support of the CRU. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Required Education/Certification/Licensure: Master's degree in human services related field, healthcare administration, or business administration with evidence of experience in healthcare administration Preferred Education/Certification/Licensure: Appropriate full licensure within the State of Michigan with either a Master's of Nursing, or a Master's degree in Social Work. Lean Six Sigma Certification. Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care.
