Book of the Month is seeking an Analyst to contribute to the Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) teams ongoing initiatives, which will require keen eyes for detail and precision.
This role will primarily assist with the execution, monitoring, quality assurance, and reporting of operational functions within Book of the Month.
This ranges from sourcing and managing vendors for book manufacturing to ensuring prompt delivery of BOTM member boxes.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, data-driven, and someone who is eager to solve complex problems and make an impact across a variety of operational disciplines.
What you will do...
+ Proactively monitor order-to-delivery and membership KPIs and provide regular reporting to management.
+ Support the SC&O team in multiple aspects of print production, including scheduling, cost estimating, and purchase order management.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing terms with book manufacturers, paper manufacturers, paper vendors, paper mills, and other suppliers.
+ Evaluate vendor performance and oversee quality control, issues and resolutions.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Editorial, Customer Experience, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and Product to coordinate project details and help the team prioritize rigorously.
+ Perform detailed Excel analysis to support key SC&O and BOTM initiatives.
+ Assist the SC&O team on various projects and tasks as needed.

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Highly organized and disciplined with great attention to detail.
+ Knowledge in supply chain, quality, procurement, print production and/or logistics.
+ Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
+ Ability to be resourceful and proactively take initiative.
+ NetSuite or similar software experience a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelors degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or math strongly preferred.
+ 1-2 years of professional experience in an analytical role requiring quantitative analysis and problem solving.
+ Strong Excel skills are a must.
+ SQL skills are a plus.
+ Highly detail-oriented and resourceful.
+ Thrives working in a fast-paced environment and ready to work hard.
+ Interested in commercial fiction and/or e-commerce.
Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
