Our AFFCO USA office is now looking for a motivated individual to join our supply chain and logistics team, situated in Jacksonville, FL. Job Description

Reporting to the AFFCO USA President, you will provide support to the Supply Chain Manager with regards to the processing of customer orders, managing and maintaining customer relationships and all associated communication and customer interaction.
You will also play a crucial role in terms of maximizing operational process efficiency and productivity and developing good relationships with vendors and distributors.
The role is primarily responsible for:

Accurate and timely processing of customer orders

Ensure complete and accurate placement of orders into AFFCO USA order fulfilment system that ensures customer satisfaction within parameters agreed by the AFFCO USA staff.
Ensure customers are communicated correct shipping details, and advised in a timely fashion should agreed volumes or timing change.
Provide President with full support and information relating to customer requirements and requests.
Ensure all orders are entered in line with trading terms agreed by the President.

Customer relationships

Ensure all communication with the customer is carried out in a thorough and professional manner. Attention to detail is a requirement of the role to assist both the President and AFFCO's client to achieve an efficient and proactive transaction.
Ensure rapid response and effective communication (both verbal and written) when dealing with customer issues and complaints.
Provide full back up to the President to the extent where customer interaction is seamless between the Sales Coordinator and President.

Inventory Optimisation

Ensure allocation of inventory to orders is first and foremost placed in a FIFO manner, unless through express approval of the President.
Provide President with information and advice as needed to ensure AFFCO USA achieves optimum inventory turns at the same time as minimising total delivered cost.

AFFCO New Zealand Interaction

Maintain regular and effective communication with all required staff within AFFCO offices.
Provide alternate source of review of offshore inventories and provide update of shipment details as required.
Provide AFFCO New Zealand office with information necessary when dealing with customers complaints and claims.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

It is preferred that you have a tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, or related discipline, or commensurate experience
An understanding of supply chain/logistics, supply drivers and supplier network
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and analyse numbers such that pricing, costs, and margins can be well understood
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Strong organisational and communication skills to manage workload and prioritise
Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferably the understanding of procurement drivers, freight/logistics and planning principles
