Salary: $140,000 - 170,000/year This position allows for 2 days per week remote / work from home. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Supply Chain will drive the development and execution of supply chain strategies that align with business goals and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong collaboration across departments, including manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams.
\n ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that support the company's overall business objectives, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality operations.Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.Collaborate with senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, terms, and service levels to ensure a reliable supply of raw materials, components, and packaging.Implement strategies for supplier risk management, including contingency planning for supply chain disruptions.Oversee the management of raw materials, intermediate, and finished goods inventory levels, ensuring alignment with production schedules, demand forecasts, and safety stock policies.Utilize inventory management systems and analytics to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.Direct the logistics strategy, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of materials and finished products to customers, distributors, and stakeholders.Manage third-party logistics providers and monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards.Ensure the supply chain complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, and international regulations.Work closely with the quality assurance and regulatory teams to maintain supply chain integrity, managing risks related to product quality, regulatory compliance, and product recalls.Utilize advanced analytics, forecasting tools, and KPIs to monitor supply chain performance, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Analyze data to drive decision-making and optimize supply chain performance, including cost reduction and process efficiency.Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes, adopting best practices and lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain function, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive to market changes. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.In-depth experience with GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant regulatory frameworks in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Proven track record of managing end-to-end supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.Experience with global supply chain operations, including international sourcing, logistics, and regulatory requirements.
