Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: SW Portland- Hybrid

Job Summary: Excited to partner with a local client that is looking to hire a Supply Chain Manager.
This client is looking for someone who specializes in inventory management, demand planning, operations, etc.
Additionally, this individual will be responsible for improving efficiencies and reducing costs internally through implementation of innovative tools.
This individual will also focus on managing responsibilities and developing their team.
Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management- Evaluate, strategize, and sustain inventory parameters and levels for both new and existing manufactured components to align with production and inventory goals.
Operational Supplies Procurement- Supervise and acquire operational supplies (materials, gauges, expendable tooling, supplies, and services) to support the production schedule, ensuring all purchases are accurately executed and documented.
Product Shipment and Stockroom Operations- Manage product shipment and stockroom activities, including processing, packaging, receiving, storing, distributing, and shipping finished goods.
Develop methods and processes to ensure material availability, timely delivery, and quality service within set timeframes and budgets.
Supplier Selection and Management- Define criteria for preferred supplier selection based on assessments of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations, and company standards.
Implement standard/automated re-order procedures and develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency plans.
Negotiate long-term contracts in line with company policies.
Manufacturing Part Information Maintenance- Assess, report, and maintain manufacturing part information.
Prepare inventory reports and lists of required materials and/or goods to meet sales and manufacturing needs.
Bid Specifications and Supplier Performance- Draft bid specifications, assess supplier performance, recommend supplier selection, negotiate prices, and monitor PO status to ensure timely delivery of goods purchased both domestically and internationally.
Production Material Expediting-Accelerate production materials as needed to meet delivery schedules and maintain Purchase Order data to reflect supplier commitments.
Communicate quality and service requirements and issues and maintain repetitive order parameters to balance inventory in support of business strategies.
Inventory Accuracy- Develop methods to maintain inventory accuracy, including oversight of inventory audits.
Provide inventory trend analysis, plan versus actual variance reporting, and manage the cycle counting program to ensure recording accuracy and that inventory targets are met and maintained.
Reporting and Updates- Provide timely updates to the Sr. Director of Operations on all production, supply chain, and quality-related issues.
Deliver progress reports, schedule adjustments, quality issues, or other adjustments that may impact project deadlines or parameters.
Process Adherence and Improvement-Ensure adherence to timelines, use of appropriate data and decision support tools, and development of reports and analysis to drive the process.
Continuously drive process improvements.
Policy and Procedure Development- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Operations to develop policies and procedures for the assigned area.
Staff and Budget Management- Manage departmental staff and budget.
Coordinate activities of buyers and support staff engaged in the planning, acquisition, and distribution of materials to support operations, production requirements, and product development.
Assist with work prioritization.
Conduct annual performance appraisals and performance improvement plans when needed.
Develop training and development plans for staff.
Compliance and Safety- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Work in a safe manner and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Additional Duties- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of similar experience with technical manufacturing background
Education: BS/BA degree in relevant field is preferred
Benefits:
• Compensation: $95k-100k
• 95% of Medical covered by employer, 90% Dental covered by employer

Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
