Job summary
The Production Control Specialist supervises assigned employees to master planning and shop floor control integrity.Responsible for improving production and inventory control systems and techniques to enhance productivity.Ensures accuracy and integrity of Shop Floor Control and assigned material planning administration centers.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and execute decisions to increase, decrease, and release shop orders.• Communicate priorities to the plant and provide status on orders, expedites, and shipments.• Coordinate and initiate projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and system integrity.• Supervise and direct administrative functions of assigned department.• Maintain safety stock requirements and support quality policies.• Identify departmental training needs and conduct training classes.• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and training initiatives.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED plus four (4) years of planning, purchasing, or supply chain experience.• Demonstrated knowledge of material planning, purchasing, and inventory control systems.
