Summary THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: 103d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), East Granby, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to the 103d LRS of the Connecticut Air National Guard.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members assigned to the 103d LRS of the Connecticut Air National Guard.
Responsibilities This is an indefinite position that may convert to permanent without further competition.
JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Air National Guard.
The major duties include, but are not limited to: Performs routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy.
Responsible for limited aspects of storage management.
Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs.
May develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered.
Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 12 months of specialized experience in the following: Experience, education or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to perform material coordination storage management responsibility for special programs, maintenance, and production shops.
Knowledge of established supply regulations, policies, procedures, and other instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
Knowledge to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for required information in order to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions.
Knowledge and ability to perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management, such as inventory management, excess property, storage management etc.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of AFSC.
Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection.
The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.

Additional Information Primary Change of Station (PCS) relocation expenses will NOT be paid.

For M-Day/Traditional personnel who are currently receiving incentives to include Bonuses and the Student Loan Repayment Program, the following termination rule applies: Incentive Termination without Recoupment: If you accept a Military Technician (Mil Tech) Permanent position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment, your bonus will be terminated with no recoupment as long as you have served at least 6 months of the bonus contract following receipt of the initial bonus payment.
