Your Day to Day: Job Summary – Responsible for actively resolving product and technology needs of the business with a focus on IHG's Property Management Systems; however, not limited to IHG PMS Systems. Facilitate the optimization of business performance by ensuring the alignment between business products, processes, and Information Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Retransmission of nightly PMS files when applicable; troubleshoot with appropriate teams. Add Transaction Codes when directed by Internal Audit Work with other IHG PMS and GRS teams and Oracle on resolution of more complex related topics Work with hotels and other Stake Holders on resolving technology system issues, inside or outside of IHG PMS Systems. Troubleshoot Report Scheduling components Grant user permissions when aligned with IHG's regional standards Work with other team members on other more complex technology items that may, or may not touch IHG PMS Systems Internal Key Relationships - Frequent verbal and written communication with functional management, operations management, center leadership, and regional leadership team to communicate status of projects, challenges, etc. External Key Relationships Periodic verbal and written communication with hotel staff, management companies and ownership groups to keep informed on status of projects, challenges, etc. What We Need From You: Key Skills & Experiences Education – BA degree in a business-related field – Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Statistics or Computer Science related degree or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Experience – 4 to 7 years progressive work experience, with emphasis on business. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated expertise in the relevant business areas supported and demonstrated ability in troubleshooting and resolving more complex technical issues
Technical Skills and Knowledge – Demonstrated strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), specifically with Excel advanced functions. Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing initiatives and operations analyses from concept through implementation. Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of user. Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, high-quality customer-focused orientation, including providing clear, accurate information; explaining procedures or materials or providing supplemental information; anticipating problems or questions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to perform concurrent tasks that require technical and functional competence. Demonstrated understanding of Property Management Systems High Level of proficiency in Opera Versions 5.0 and above Direct Reports / Indirect Reports – 0
