Summary
The Support Services Supervisor works closely with Management to support the daily operations of the Environmental Services, Food & Nutrition Services, Linen Services, and Patient Transportation departments to ensure optimal operation of support services, including the cleaning & disinfection of the environment of care, food and nutrition patient services, culinary and retail operations, patient transport, linen distribution, waste management and pest control.
It is the responsibility of the Support Services Supervisor to assist with supervision and coordination of all activities of the departmental personnel, including quality assurance, productivity and regulatory compliance.
Works closely with all departments and problem-solves issues associated with the department scope of services.
Maintains a strong focus on the Patient Experience, performing rounds and communicates with patients and family members to ensure a positive experience.
Will routinely assist supervisors with performance verifications, training and orientation of staff members.
Work independently and collaboratively with hospital management team to provide extraordinary service.
Available Shifts
- Weekdays: 12:00PM - 8:30PM, Rotating Weekends 7:00AM - 3:30PM
- Flex Evenings/Nights: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, 11:00PM - 7:30AM
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: 1-3 years Healthcare experience as Environmental Services, Linen, Food and Nutrition and/or Transportation Supervisor or Equivalent relevant experience.
Training and education in Health Care Management preferred.
CHEST & Serv safe certification required within 12 months of accepting the position.
Exceptional customer service skills, knowledge of floor care procedures, terminal cleaning, infection prevention, waste management, food and nutrition operations, patient transport procedures and linen operations.
