The Redwood Crossings Supportive Services Coordinator will work collaboratively with Salem Housing Authority and other various community partners to provide the necessary supports and advocacy to encourage positive tenancy for residents. The Supportive Service Coordinator will support onsite Case Managers with various administrative tasks, face to face client interactions, resource navigation, peer support and general case management tasks.
Candidates must submit application by 10/10/2023 in order to be considered for first round interviews. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required of this position.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job may be accepted. Preference given to Community Health Workers and/or Certified Peer Recovery Mentors. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment. Driver qualifications are required for this position. Must have a valid driver's license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and satisfactory drive record for the previous five years. Must obtain Food Handlers Card within 60 days of hire. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must possess basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and customer service skills, including knowledge regarding email use and etiquette. Effective interpersonal communication skills in both written and oral form. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of housing regulations, policies and procedures. Provides leadership and support to program staff. Performs resident needs assessment and initial intake in order to develop comprehensive support plans. Complies and maintains accurate data using the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS.) Collaborates with community partners to provide onsite resources and services for residents. Mediates and address residents' interpersonal and external conflicts. Coordinates and facilitates frequent community meetings. PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Manuel dexterity for handling office equipment. Regulates emotions and handles pressures of frequent demands for attention, time and work tasks. Regulates emotions during interactions with escalated clients and staff. Maintains calm disposition when clients or others may become escalated. WORK ENVIRONMENT Personally responsive to urgent situations, which could require travel for on-site interventions. Occasionally urgent situations require law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals. Varying shift demands (day/eve/night) may require fluctuations in work schedule. Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior. Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and malodorous air. Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands.
