Description:RESPONSIBLE FOR: Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED and Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Three years of surgical technologist experience.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:N/AADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required. BLS certification required.
