Surgical First Assistant - Full Time - Northwest Health - Porter 12 hour shifts with rotating Weekday and weekend call

About this role?

Surgical technologists work under the supervision of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
They possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Functions in accordance with scope of practice, experience, education and competency verification.
Work May be required to participate in on call status.


Education:

Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.

Certifications/Experience: CST certification via NBSTSA Minimum of one [1] year experience in surgical/procedural setting with at least one [1] year experience in a relevant clinical role.

AST Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification [Required].
AST membership.
[Preferred].
CPR certification upon hire or by the end of orientation.
[Required].
