Surgical Tech Iii Surgery Main

The Surgical Technologist, working under the direct supervision of the perioperative nurse, performs the duties of a scrub person. Prepares supplies for cases, sets up and maintains the sterile field, passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon, and readies used instruments for the cleaning and re-sterilization process. Able to take call independently and can respond for all specialties within the Main OR. Works under direct supervision in the cardiac division. Provides in-service education and assists with projects.
