The Heavy Highway / Heavy Civil Division of Jurgensen Companies is seeking a Survey CAD (computer-aided design & drafting) 3D Modeling Technician working out of our new state of the art corporate office located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Survey CAD (computer-aided design & drafting) 3D Modeling Technician Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models of construction projects (roadway, highway, bridge etc.)
- Generate line work and/or stakeout points for use with surveying on construction projects
- Generate 3D surface of proposed construction projects (roadway, highway, bridge, etc.)
- Analyze and compare cross sections to project drawings plans, or digital files (ODOT / KYTC / INDOT)
- Generate quantities of roadway, highway, bridges, and sub-grade
- Perform takeoffs for roadway, highway, bridges, and commercial construction sites
Survey CAD (computer-aided design & drafting) 3D Modeling Technician Desired Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) plans
- Strong understanding of KYTC (Kentucky Transportation Cabinet) plans
- Strong understanding of INDOT (Indiana Department of Transportation) plans
- 5+ years of survey/engineering experience
- Proficient in CAD software
- Knowledge of general construction, roadway, highway, paving, milling, bridges, drainage, etc.
- Understand how to generate line work for use with survey
- Experience with construction stakeout.
- Experience with Trimble and/or Topcon survey equipment and field software
- Experience with GPS (Global Positioning System) and Robotic Total Stations
- Experience with Machine Control systems
- Ability to run a CAD program such as Carlson Civil, AutoCad, AC Civil 3D, MicroStation or TBC
- Ability to perform quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word

Survey CAD (computer-aided design & drafting) 3D Modeling Technician Working Conditions:
- Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries, and or project sites.
- Periodic weekend or evening work is expected
