The Opportunity The Survey CAD Technician (II or III, LSIT) will be able to prepare boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, subdivision plats, parcel and easement descriptions, and tree inventory surveys.
Work Location: Remote (can be hybrid or in-office if near an office location)
Pay Range: 30-42/hour, dependent on experience
The qualified candidate will:
Efficiently plan and prepare CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D Perform research and gather data for new and ongoing projects Process and interpret survey data collected in the field Create and interpret 3D surface models Read and interpret property legal descriptions, easements, and plats Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records Collaborate with planners, project managers, and engineers regarding projects Interact daily with field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects Qualifications 3-5+ years of survey related AutoCAD Civil3D experience General knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Earth Pro Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a land surveying related field and/or formal CAD training Land Surveyor In Training Experience with Trimble Business Center MicroStation and ArcGIS experience Previous survey field crew experience Understand construction plans and general construction principals Experience with aerial photo and lidar data processing and extraction (Part 107 pilot license) Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is primarily performed in an office environment Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds Sambatek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
